Can You Refund Apps – Pay for an app you want to cancel now? We’ll show you how to request a refund from the Apple App Store on multiple devices.
I can’t be the only one who accidentally bought an app from the app store, bought the wrong app, or wasted money on apps unnecessarily. Don’t panic! It happens to everyone, and if you follow a few simple steps, you can get a refund on an App Store purchase. We’ll tell you how to do this on your Apple devices.
Can You Refund Apps
Just because you bought the app through Apple’s App Store doesn’t mean you have to use the App Store to get a refund. Since Apple’s refund system is web-based, using the web may be the easiest option.

After you click Submit, you will receive an email from Apple within a few days about your refund approval.
As before, it may take a few days to receive an email from Apple regarding your refund approval. To learn more about managing your subscriptions and more Apple tips, sign up for our Tip of the Day newsletter.
Again, don’t wait too impatiently for that Apple approval email. There is always a chance that you may not be eligible for a refund on the item you have selected. If so, the last button to submit your request will be grayed out. You may want to contact Apple Support directly to resolve this issue. However, we hope you won’t experience any problems.
I caution against using this as a quick way to try out paid subscription apps and features. This is best used in case of a genuine error. Also, try to request a refund as soon as you are aware of the issue, as the timeframe for receiving your refund may vary by location. Good luck and enjoy your shopping!

Join the only free daily newsletter that reveals the new things you can do with your iPhone in just one minute a day. Here’s how to get Google Play cashback from the Play Store on almost anything you buy.
It’s happened to us all: you buy that new app from the Google Play Store, confident you’ll like it, and then you don’t. There are several reasons for requesting a refund. The app doesn’t work with your device, the app doesn’t work as intended, or you just have a major case of buyer’s remorse. You might even have accidentally purchased the app. Regardless, all refund methods are the same.
The good news is that Google has built a refund process right into the Play Store. The downside is that if you want a hassle-free return process, you have to act pretty quickly. Here’s how to get a refund on the Google Play Store.
To get a refund in the Google Play Store, (if within two hours of purchase), go to the app’s page and request a refund immediately. After that, within 48 hours, go to this link, click the button Request a refund and fill out the form. For movies, TV and books, open this link, type report a problem, fill in the details and submit.
How To Cancel My Subscription On App Stor…
The easiest way to get a Google Play refund for a recently purchased app or game is to request a refund directly from the Play Store. The process is extremely simple, no questions asked, but there is a catch. You must act quickly.
In fact, you must make a refund request within two hours of purchasing the app or game directly from the Play Store app. After that you have 48 hours to ask Google. It may sound fast, but two hours is a long time to determine whether to continue using an app or game. Both methods work for random purchases as well.
Typically, unless something goes horribly wrong, Google should then process your refund in one to four business days. Google may reject your request if it detects abuse. If this happens, you must contact Google immediately to reject their decision and plead your case.
At this point, your chances of getting a refund are slim to none. The investor may give it to you at its discretion, but there is no assumption or requirement to do so. Make sure you are polite, as this is an approach you have little power over.

This is a bit sticky since most in-app purchases don’t get refunded unless there’s a specific problem. Subscriptions are also difficult to return. Your best bet is the process outlined above, but it in no way guarantees a full refund.
Sometimes someone gets hold of your device or payment information and forces your account to buy something you didn’t want to buy. Fortunately, Google has an entire website for reporting expenses you might not recognize. The process is relatively simple:
Google may take some time to make a decision and you may be contacted by email to answer additional questions. We are not 100% sure of the time frame for this one as it can vary from case to case.
The good news is that you don’t have to stick to the usual 48-hour window for undetected transactions. Google says you have 120 days from the date of purchase to file your claim.

The process of returning books, TV shows and movies is a little different. You don’t get a refund button like you do with apps or games, and you have to look elsewhere for your refund. Fortunately, Google Play gives you one week to request a refund for any movie, TV show, or book you’ve purchased, as long as you haven’t watched or read it yet.
There is a prerequisite for this. Audiobooks cannot be refunded anywhere in the world except South Korea, according to Google. The above method is only regular e-books, movies and TV shows.
Additionally, Google is removing TV and movie purchases from the Play Store and Google TV. We’ll update this article once that transition is complete to tell you the new method for returning TV and movie purchases.
For apps and games, you can get an instant refund in the Play Store within two hours of purchase. You can fill out a form up to 48 hours after purchase.
Ios 15 Allows You To Request Refunds For In App Purchases Directly Within Apps
For books, TV shows and movies, it’s seven days for most countries and up to 14 days in select countries. However, defective content can be returned up to 65 days after purchase.
For audiobooks, all sales are final, except in South Korea, where you get a seven-day window until you’ve listened to the audiobook.
Generally, Google Play should make its decision within 24 hours and refund your money within four business days. For unrecognized (fraudulent) purchases, it may take longer.
Go to this link to view Google’s Play Store refund support page. At the bottom of the page there is an option to contact Google directly. Tap Tell Google the reason you’re contacting them.
