Gaming Review – Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions

For years games starring superheroes were kind of a joke, hardly giving the player an adequate experience to live up to the hype of the character. Then Batman: Arkham Asylum came along and showed how it should be done. While Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions might not live up to the Caped Crusader’s game, it is still far above most of what has come before.
When Spider-man runs into Mysterio in a museum they commit a big no-no by knocking over one of the displays, shattering the object. Though everything in the room is priceless, this object happens to have a little more to it. Known as the Tablet of Order and Chaos, this tablet is connected to keeping the order of the universe in concern to time, spaces, dimensions, and all that jazz. E3 2010: Microsoft, Sony, & Nintendo Press Conference Reflections

So the biggest week of the year for the video game world is here and it started these last two days with the annual first party conferences where the Big Three unveil there plans for the year to come. With everyone still on a major console release freeze we are instead being introduced to the current hot properties for Big Three, gaming for everyone and motion control.
Now Nintendo has a head start on this mindset as this is what they have spent the last few years building Wii around, motion controls and games for everyone, so Microsoft and Sony used much of their space to debut and show off their entries into the motion gaming world. I will take this company by company and share my thoughts on how excited I am for the next year based on their E3 showings.
Netflix to Wii!

All three video game systems will now suport Netflix and this is a win for everyone. The Wii based viewing of your streaming queue looks to be handled simillarly to PS3 in that you will have to request a disc from Netflix, for free, and when inserted in your Wii it will connect to Netflix and display your queue and other suggestions on your screen.
The service is of no extra cost and you can request your disc now at Netflix’s Wii site.
This service really might be the greatest thing since sliced bread and if you own a video game system and don’t have it, do so now. Or go by a Blu-Ray player with it as well, totally worth it!
No news on HD service on Wii, though it is doubtful unless it recognizes if you have a component connection or not.
