TV Recap and Ramblings: Happy Town – “I Came to Haplin for the Waters”

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW:

The second episode of Happy Town throws out a whole new set of questions, as well as reiterating some questions from the first episode.  However, for all the questions floating around we have already been provided the answer to one of the major questions of the first episode, thankfully forgetting to drag it out for a larger part of the season (I will now refrain from saying the word “question” again).  I mean, one mystery man is enough for us to deal with, so now we can watch the drama revolving about the revelation of the murderer’s identity while still trying to figure out who the Magic Man is.

This episode continues with the ending of the premiere, following Tommy arriving at the hospital with the Sheriff, who is minus his left hand.  However, you don’t need that appendage to continue to spew out some crazy lines, continuing the question of what his connection is to Chloe as he continues to talk about her/to her in his mumblings of gibberish (I’m going with dad). Recap and Ramblings: Happy Town Series Premiere – “In this Home on Ice”

The premiere of Happy Town starts the series off with a bang… Well, not really a bang.  There was a gun involved, but it didn’t go off…  Okay, let’s start this again:

The premiere of Happy Town starts the series off on a really interesting foot, and though this mystery show didn’t lean as far towards the horror genre as I was hoping it would, hopefully it is going to head that way in the future considering we’ve got ourselves a murderer to find and the memory of a serial kidnapper still haunting the town.

Because this is an unraveling mystery, a whole bunch of questions were presented with this first episode.  I figured because my memory is that of a goldfish when it comes to these things (don’t even get me started on Lost), I am going to take note of anything and everything that may come into play later on.  If you couldn’t give an insignificant penny about these things then skip the list. Suggestion Box (Apr. 19 – 25)

Movies:

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Trailer – It’s another week of not a whole lot exciting on my radar movie wise, so I am forced to sink to these depths by including the new Eclipse Trailer.  And as much as I make fun of the melodrama of these films, I know I am going to see it at some point.  Why?  Because Dakota Fanning is BA and because I want to see Jacob get punched in the face (they better put this in the movie or else the best part of the book is lost).  Check out the trailer here.

The Last Airbender Trailer 3 – The newest trailer released brings about some more footage, including a quick peek at Appa.  Yay flying bison!  Check it out here.

TV:

America: The History of Us – If you want to learn about the US without reading really lame textbooks that apparently haven’t taught me the really interesting facts, then you should check this out.  There are plenty of higher quality “this is a reenactment with actors” stuff, as well as interviews with both the people you would expect and complete randos like Michael Douglas.  Anyway…  It’s a multiple night event (that I think are sticking to Sunday nights because the air dates are being rather elusive) on the History Channel, so go watch and learn stuff!
