Will It Fall? The Final Shot of Inception (Spoilers)

So obviously Lauren and I (Check out our reviews first; Lauren’s and Zac’s) think Inception is a pretty swell movie.  Lauren has picked it as her best picture favorite and it seems to be a lock Top 5 for me as well.  But we both agree that the final shot of the film is easily the biggest flaw of the film and kind of B.S.

Either way, we discuss it in depth below and feel free to let us know if you agree.

And Obviously: Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Inception

Inception, the latest from Christopher Nolan, is nothing short of phenomenal and is a prime example of why we go to the movies; to have an experience almost none of us could ever even imagine.

I am not going to even try to explain the plot as it is both complex and better experienced as virgin as possible. But in short it follows a team of contracted thieves, led by Cobb, who steal information from people’s minds by sedating them and creating a dream world which allows them to extract their target mission. When the team is recruited to plant an idea in a mark’s mind, through Inception, they will have the greatest challenge they have faced yet.

Now Playing Review: Avatar

I will admit it, I was one of those people who was more than skeptical about how much I was going to like this film after first seeing the trailer a while back. I just didn’t think I was going to relate to the plight of some blue, anorexic looking humanoids. And frankly, I was a little concerned about some roundabout cross-species love. But you know what they say about books and their covers.
James Cameron’s Avatar has been a long time coming, but the end product clearly shows that this time was used wisely. During this time, Cameron constructed a story of two conflicting species, the Na’vi who inhabit the planet Pandora, and the humans encroaching on their home in the hopes of harvesting a valuable mineral from beneath the tree they inhabit. Though the humans have tried negotiating with the Na’vi to gain control of the land, it is clear that patience is growing thin with trying to appease this “lesser” species and the military forces brought to the planet are more than willing to take a less subtle approach in order to complete the objective. With one last attempt at keeping consciences clean, Jake Sully, a paraplegic soldier, and many members of the science team are given avatars made to look and move like the Na’vi in the hopes of helping to bring the negotiations to an end.

Inception Teaser Poster

This is one of the biggest films of 010 from Christopher Nolan and has an absolutely stunning cast.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine and Dileep Rao, that is a cast few can top.
The trailer is weird and illusive and the poster is no more helpful. But still, you should get a better look at the trailer in the coming weeks as it will be attatched to either Avatar or Sherlock Holmes.  Check out the poster after the jump.

Review: Drag Me To Hell

Sam Raimi’s return to the “horror” genre is a neither scary, nor humorous, and has zero entertainment value what so ever and is easily one of the worst films I have ever seen.
Christine is a young bank employee looking to move up her station in life. She has a boyfriend who loves her, but his family isn’t all too sure at the same time of her simple background. The assistant manager’s job is open at her bank and she is in hot competition with a conniving kiss ass that is trying to sweep in underneath her for the position. So when an elderly woman comes to have a third extension on her loan, Christine feels the pressure from her boss to, “make the tough decisions,” and denies the woman an extension. When the woman begs Christine, she gets embarrassed and can’t handle the situation as the woman grabs and claws after her before being escorted out by security because she feels she has been shamed. Later that night, when heading home from work, Christine is confronted by the woman in her car and a struggle ensues ending with the old woman cursing Christine which leads to an evil spirit harassing her for the next three days before the prophesized taking of Christine by the haunting demon to hell.
