2012 has been quite a year for music. Alternative darlings broke out in a big way, taking over most of the radio. Giant albums from returning artists gave us critics something to lavish over throughout the year. 2012 was also the year that Youtube became a major player, helping push viral artists like Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy to the forefronts of the American subconcious. Review of Jack White’s ‘Blunderbuss’
Just over a year ago, The White Stripes informed the world that they were no longer making music together. As sad as it was then, I’ve come to a place of understanding and fulfillment. They didn’t leave us with a bad album (or any bad albums in general), and became one of the most loved duos of our time. Not to mention both Jack and Meg leaving us on a rather high note, with their live CD/DVD Under Great White Northern Lights.
